Enterprise Phone User Quick Start

Call CodeBuddy from your phone, verify with a PIN if needed, use simple voice commands, and get better answers on the job.

Overview

This guide helps you use CodeBuddy by calling from your phone. It's designed for people in the field who need quick answers, hands-free.

1) Call Your Company's Number

  • Your Admin will share a number to call.
  • Save it as "CodeBuddy" on your phone for quick access.
  • If you're in the US or Canada, your number may be a memorable shortcut (your Admin will tell you which one to use).

2) PIN and Caller Verification

  • You may be asked to say your name and enter a 4-digit PIN.
  • If you forget your PIN, ask your Admin to reset it.
  • This helps make sure only your team can use the line.

3) Voice Command Basics

  • After the greeting, ask your question clearly.
  • One question at a time works best.
  • If you need more detail, say "Can you explain the second step?"
  • To finish, say "That's all" and hang up.

4) Get Clear Answers by Phone

  • If you missed something, say "Please repeat that."
  • If it's too fast, say "Speak slower."
  • If the answer is long, ask "Give me the short version."

5) Call Quality Tips

  • Move to a quieter spot when possible.
  • Speak at a steady pace, a little slower than usual.
  • If the line is poor, try calling again from a better location.

6) Hands-Free Operation

  • Use a headset or truck Bluetooth for safety.
  • Keep background noise down if you can.
  • Shorten your question to the key details.

7) Fit It Into Your Job

  • Use the call when your hands are full or you're on a ladder.
  • Ask quick checks like "What's the requirement for [topic]?"
  • Follow up later in the app if you need to save or share the answer.

8) Troubleshooting Call Issues

  • No audio? Check your phone volume and Bluetooth.
  • Call dropped? Redial and try again.
  • PIN not accepted? Ask your Admin to reset it.
  • If you keep having trouble, use the app to type your question for now.

You're ready to get on-the-spot answers by phone.
